Commit to Net Zero

Many businesses have declared ‘net zero’ targets, but it can be difficult to tell when such commitments are aspirational or truly integrated into the core of the business’ activities.

One way to demonstrate that your business is serious about net zero is to include this commitment in the business’ constitution, making it clear that reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is a core part of the impact your business aims to have on the world. Putting a net zero commitment into the business’ articles of association enables the board to bring GHG emissions reduction into the heart of decision-making.

Purposely’s Net Zero Option shows businesses a way to make this constitutional commitment, to help take meaningful action towards a net zero economy. The Net Zero Option provides wording that can be integrated automatically by the Purposely platform into its four Model Articles of Association. You can choose to incorporate this wording when you go through the questionnaire that helps you select which of the Purposely models best matches your business.
