Good Energy

Good Energy is a company driven by a deep sense of purpose. Founded by current CEO Juliet Davenport to combat climate change, our difference was easy to see; no other electricity supplier promised that the electricity it supplied would be 100% renewable.

Our logic was simple: as more and more customers switched to Good Energy, we would need to buy more renewable electricity which would attract more renewable electricity onto the National Grid.

Today, Good Energy buys renewable electricity and green gas from a wide range of sources including our community of 1,400 independent generators, our solar and wind farms and from offshore wind farms.

Our board is guided by its obligation to promote the success of the company for the benefit of its members as a whole, as prescribed by section 172 of the Companies Act. A central theme is the need to balance the interests of different stakeholder groups. In the case of Good Energy, we have four equal stakeholder groups: our People, our Customers, our Shareholders and our Futureholders.

By balancing our stakeholder groups, we ensure we’re making effective choices, so that we can continue to drive towards our purpose of powering the choice of a cleaner, greener future together.
